(This is my favorite TED Talk of all time. The underlying message in Simon Sinek's video is that "People don't buy what you do... they buy WHY you do it." If your business doesn't have a WHY, you need to find it... and convey it to your potential customers!)
Before I tell you what I do, let me tell you why I do it. It doesn't matter what product or service I offer... if you can't agree with or relate to why I do what I do, you will just go to someone else who is more aligned with your beliefs. My goal is not to do business with people who need what I have - my goal is to do business who believe what I believe. Here's what I believe... with a few hyperlinks included:
I believe that we have more control of our health than we have ever been lead to believe. According to an article published in the New York Times several years ago, fewer than 30% of Medical Doctors have any training in nutrition because many schools do not require it. Yet... we ask more questions before buying a car than we ask our physicians about what to do with our own bodies!
I believe we need to leave WELLNESS traditions behind
for our children and grandchildren, hold ourselves accountable for
our own health, and COMMIT to making healthy lifestyle choices on an ongoing basis. I find that many conditions we have deemed to be
"genetic" are only so because we are repeating habits that our parents did before
us. While we may be genetically predisposed to many conditions, it is our lifestyle that activates these genes.
I believe that people are waking up to the cost of an unhealthy lifestyle. Obesity alone costs employers $73 Billion annually and the Pharmaceutical industry is the most profitable of all businesses in the United States! Americans spend far more on healthcare than any other rich country, and yet we rank dead last in health outcomes! Many Americans look to the Food and Drug Administration for protection... however the same organization that says whether or not a food or drug is okay to consume is also the same organization that says when the same foods and drugs are NOT safe and need to be recalled! Remember... once upon a time, ALL food was organic and accessible! This is not the case anymore... and people need natural remedies for life's aches and pains.
I believe that consumer product manufacturers should be held accountable to what I like to call the 6 Ps:
- Product performance
- Product safety
- Product ingredients
- Product value
- Price point
- Profit sharing
There is only one consumer product manufacturer that I know of that does this... and I am grateful for the opportunity to introduce you! Contact Ashley Reynolds at 704-770-8214 for a complete overview.
